Good volume (if positioned correctly) I use it in my noisy car all the time. Both putting it on and the controls take a bit of getting used to (Hint - Pull the ear clip out 90 degrees, put clip behind ear then close over ear).I accidentally hung up quite a few calls before I got used to the switch, but once mastered it becomes second nature.Long battery life - 5-6 hours straight talking easily. Maybe those with small ears could have a different experience.I can keep this on for 6 hours straight and barely notice. The sound quality is decent, not spectacular.
It is also the "best" in my opinion. This is the cheapest BT headset I have ever purchased (I have had 4).
Your ear can breathe.I have very large ears and it works great. Works excellent with my Motorola. What really makes this baby shine is that it doesn't stick in your ear in the traditional way.
It rests on your ear and the reverse cone points into your ear. This is fantastic as it doesn't clog your ear. But not any worse than my $100 plantronics.
Charges fairly fast as well.Best of all if you lose it - what the heck, didn't cost that much anyway.
My other Motorola headset was fine on volume, but the fit on the ear was bad, so I bought the plantronics which fits a lot better. This headset (I bought last year) is not loud enough, even when I turn the volume up to maximum, and reposition it in the ear. Except for the volume (which is very important), the rest of the attributes are good; although advertised talk time of 6 hours is not accurate (maybe 2-4 is more accurate). When you are driving a car and/or have other outside noises around you, it is very difficult to hear the person on the other line. In quieter settings, the product works well. I'm looking to try and find a headset that fits, has good sound quality, and good volume controls. I would not buy this product again, simply because it is not loud enough.
Excellent bluetooth device. The headset arrived promptly and in good condition. I was very pleased dealing with this vender.
Plantronics makes the best bluetooth headsets you can get for the cost. This is typical for any and all bluetooth headsets. This headset does take some getting used to as the rubber boot on it slightly penetrates your ear, but after a few days you will forget you are wearing it.
I have made the mistake of purchasing Jawbone, Sennheiser, BlueParrot, Motorolla, Blue Trek, and god only knows which others. The mic is not as sensitive as those found in the Jawbone, so doing something productive like washing dishes won't blow out the eardrum of whoever you are speaking with, but they will hear some level of noise(the Jawbone is brutally painful for that). No contest.
The only headset I've found that was easier to hear was the sennheiser, but it likes to stop communicating with your phone til you re-pair it and costs about 6 times what this does. Background noise suppression is stereotypical, if there's noise, the person on the other end will most likely hear some translation of it. Plantronics is the only brand I've purchased more than 1 of. While many of these brands cost well over 4 to 5 times what this one does, none of them can compare on battery life, consistency of connection, or all around value.
I think this is the 5th or maybe 6th plantronics I've bought, and I'm sure it won't be the last.On a side note, the battery, under constant daily use, should last you approximately 500 charges, or 1.5 years avg. At a cost of less than $20, that means this unit will cost you barely $1 per month, as opposed to $10-15 per month for some of the designer headsets.
Great product for its price. I recommend it to anyone interested in a real basic device. Works with the BB Curve as well as the iphone. Cheers.
